Family Night: an opportunity for students to perform skills and display accomplishments while family and friends applaud their efforts of several months of learning!
"That's so cool!"
I've heard it many times from people who have seen me sign.
But learning American Sign Language (ASL) isn't just about doing something "cool." Learning ASL can open the door to a whole new world of friends and interesting people!
My name is Michelle Mills. I learned to sign in high school when I made a deaf friend. She came to my house; as we would hang out, I learned ASL. It was an awesome experience!
Some books are full of delicate morsels of delightful words.
Some books are a little more “meaty” than others.
Some are a little dry, some a little funny, and others may even taste a little sad.
But no matter what your preferred taste, there will be a buffet of delicious books in Language Arts Fundamentals at the Monroe SA Prep campus!
High school math is hard.
And trying to teach your own child algebra when you barely remember 9th grade is even harder.
Let’s not discuss geometry or trigonometry.
What is calculus again?
But SA Prep in Monroe is equipped to handle this problem. We brought in a professional. Thank goodness!
Are you considering homeschooling your child during the high school years?
Do you wonder about what classes to take, how to keep good records, accreditation, transcripts and college?
You are not alone!
Join us for an hour for encouragement and information that will help you as you approach and navigate homeschooling through high school.
Some of the topics we'll cover include:
We want our children to learn good manners. We'd like them to have poise and confidence.
We want to instill in them a love for people of all ages and an ease in social interactions.
Add to that, it'd be nice if they are physically fit and mentally alert.
Would you believe me if I told you that teaching them the art of country dance would aid in all those things?
Before you ask, "what's Summit T-38," here's the answer: it's a Loganville campus with classes for "3-8" year olds AND "3rd-8th" grade on "T"uesdays. (See how we came up with the name? 😊)
Now that you know what it is, why are we pointing it out?
Many of you have not looked at the Summit T-38 class listings and schedules recently — and you may be surprised about what is available!
In fact, we think there are at least 4 reasons you may want to consider Tuesday classes in lieu of Thursday options — or in addition to.
Do you LOVE Summit Academy, but WISH:
Do you find yourself tired of driving from one activity to the next each day?
It certainly can be exhausting taking one kid here, another there, and then the thought pops up, “What are we going to have for dinner tonight with no time left after all this driving around?!”
You've been there, right?
Well, that is the beautiful thing about Summit Academy; your kids can do their extra-curriculars, like dance, after their science or history class, and you can keep your evenings open for family time.
This year, I am thrilled to be joining Summit as the ballet teacher.
