Financial Responsibility/Commitment: 3 mo./fall, 4 mo./spring. Classes are designed for & YOU REGISTER FOR A FULL YEAR of study; however, (unlike other programs) you may complete a Drop Form at 2 times of the year (see Drop Form requirements here...). NO DROPPING DURING A TERM! Instructors must be paid through full term.

    Enrichment class presenting the Spanish language in a fun environment through puppets, songs, games, role-play. Class is play-based, but students must be able to read & write a few words at a time, & focus on verbal instruction for a portion of class. Students will learn basic Spanish vocabulary & greetings.

    This intro-level class will provide a foundation for Spanish language learning. Students will learn the basics of listening, speaking & translating Spanish through games & role-play in an exciting environment. Cultural enrichment is an important part as students are introduced to each Spanish speaking country.

Performing Arts

    Liberty Girls, Cycle 2. Let's see what life was like in the 1800's & 1900's for Addy, Samantha, Kit, & Molly. In class, we will dive deeper into the time periods by discussing the books & completing fun hands-on projects. Homework: Read 2-3 chapters each week.

    Studying world events of the 20th & 21st centuries with a U.S. emphasis provides a background for early HS students & prep for later HS Hist/Gov classes. Students will study turning points that changed the world & still impact current events! (Also a good fit for grades 8-10 who’ve completed MS history but aren’t ready for HS U.S. & World History.)

    Explore Western music history from classical composers to American styles, film scores, & video game music. Students will listen, discuss, & learn how music developed over time and how it shapes culture, storytelling, & entertainment.

Study Hall/Lunch

  • No need to register for lunch — students registered for classes at BOTH 11:30 & 1:00 class periods will be automatically rostered into “Lunch and Listen.”
    PreK-5 fee: $20/fall term, $25/spring term
    MS/HS: $15/fall term, $20/spring term
    Student(s) will participate in a 5-10 minute, age appropriate Bible lesson each week.

    Grades: MS/HS only (absolutely NO ELEMENTARY STUDENTS)
    Due to space constraints, study hall is limited to families who have received written permission from site director & the need for study hall cannot be avoided.

*3–4 Year Old PreK Cutoff & Prerequisites

If your child will be 3 years old by 1st day of class & is able to meet the following readiness criteria, they may be placed in Pre-K classes (after submitting application form, you will be asked to complete a readiness confirmation form):
MANDATORY:
  • Separate from parents/ regular caregivers (although may need short adjustment period)
  • Independently use bathroom (may still need help buttoning or handwashing)
  • Communicate clearly enough to be understood by adults in a classroom setting
  • Listen to simple instructions
  • Hold writing tool with fist or finger grasp
  • Take turns & able to share toys
RECOMMENDED:
  • Enjoy independent activities (e.g. looking at books, coloring, getting dressed)
  • Remember short sequences of events of 2 to 3 steps
  • Hold book properly & turn pages
  • Know some letter names, numbers, shapes, colors
  • Ask questions about objects, events & animals observed in their environment
  • Imitate sounds & rhythm; might have favorite song
  • Show interest in familiar people (e.g. siblings, family members, friends)

*Kindergarten Age Cutoff & Prerequisites

 If your child will be 5 years old by 8/1 and is able to do the following, they may be placed in our K-2 classes. If they are unable to do the majority of these tasks, our PreK/K classes will be a better fit.
  • Can recognize numbers, basic shapes, and can count to 10 
  • Can recite the alphabet and recognize most letters
  • Can use a pencil/crayon and scissors with some control
  • Can use the bathroom independently
  • Can speak clearly in complete sentences and understand 2-step directions 
  • Can pay attention for at least 10 minutes to a task an adult is leading
