Collecting Christmas Blessings

Loganville K-12 and Summit T-38 campus students are collecting Christmas blessings this season for two very special groups.

Spreading news of great joy, middle school/ high school students at the Thursday Loganville location are gathering various gifts to fill shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.

Tuesday's Summit T-38 and elementary grades at Thursday's Loganville campus are collecting items to fill Blessings Bags for US veterans at the Northeast Georgia Homeless Veterans Shelter.

Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes 
(Loganville Thursday MS/HS student charity) 
drop off location: stage in large auditorium, lower bldg 
  • “Wow” item (doll, stuffed animal, soccer ball w/manual air pump, musical instrument, backpack, etc.)
  • Personal care items (hair items, toothbrush, washcloth, bar soap, colorful bandages, reusable plastic cups/plates/utensils, blanket, lip balm, flashlight, mirror, nail clipper, stick deodorant, etc.)
  • Clothing/Accessories (undies, shoes, socks, shirts, pants, hat/scarf/mittens, sunglasses, purse/tote, bead or woven jewelry, bandanna, etc.)
  • Crafts/Activities (pencils/sharpeners, crayons/markers, pens, coloring pads/books, notebooks, glue stick, tape, watercolors, play dough, stickers, jump rope, puzzles, binoculars, DIY craft items, cards, marbles, etc.)
  • Toys (balls/gloves, yo-yo, kaleidoscope, frisbee, etch-a-sketch, costume items, plastic animals, toy cars, slinky, finger puppets, etc.) 
  • Personal Note — students and families may include personal greetings and a family or group photo.

US Veterans Blessings Bags 
(Summit T-38 campus & Loganville Thursday elementary student charity) 
drop off location: near back door entrance of upper bldg 
  • Food items (beef jerky, pretzels, crackers, gum/mints, fruit snacks, trail mix, pudding cups, tuna/cracker packs, hot cocoa mix, etc.) 
  • Clothing items (gloves, hats, scarves, warm socks, etc.) 
  • Printed materials (books, magazines, crossword puzzles, devotions and/or Scripture books, etc.) 
  • Personal care items (lip balm, tissues, stick deodorant, comb/brush, hand lotion, dental floss, toothbrush/toothpaste, hand or baby wipes, band-aids, travel coffee mug, etc.)
  • MOST important item — hand-written notes of encouragement & care (“thank you for your service” comments & letting them know they are not forgotten, Scripture quotes, “you are on our prayer list”, etc.)
