Financial Responsibility/Commitment: 3 mo./fall, 4 mo./spring. Classes are designed for & YOU REGISTER FOR A FULL YEAR of study; however, (unlike other programs) you may complete a Drop Form at 2 times of the year (see Drop Form requirements here...). NO DROPPING DURING A TERM! Instructors must be paid through full term.

Language Arts

    Recommended Grades: 3-12 (separate groups/books per age/grade)
    Prerequisite: Must be able to read age appropriate chapter books
    Groups will be assigned weekly age/grade-appropriate reading to spark discussions & interaction. Some homework & writing will be assigned based on discussion topics. Designed to promote reading, interpret themes, and engage in discovery. Students not asked to read aloud, but to participate in group conversations. Clean, faith-based.

    Recommended Grades: 6-12
    Promote creativity & imagination through writing. Utilizing various writing prompts, students will develop thought & process with stronger penmanship while working on structure, flow, & rhythm in a body of work. Grammar, spelling, vocabulary included. Character & topic development, understanding research, utilizing resources to give ideas to apply in writing concepts will all be explored. Will promote handwritten work. (Weekly in-class assignments, plus end of term full story or research paper.)

Life Skills

    Chefs will learn fundamentals of cooking, safety/ etiquette in the kitchen, follow a recipe, work a budget/shop for ingredients, homemade/ semi-homemade, design a recipe/ menu, do's & don'ts of cooking, dishes for all occasions & meals, pre-plan/ cook a full meal.

    We will use fun and Legos to learn basic math concepts such as place value, addition, subtraction, telling time, fractions & much more. We will also introduce concepts such as multiplication, perimeter, & area.

Music & Drama

    Students will assist Theater Classes with many elements of stage management for fall/spring productions. Students will design & create sets/props. Students MUST also serve behind the scenes during tech week & at least 1 show during Show Week as the Crew.

    Must commit to possible additional and extended rehearsal schedules. Schedules will be provided at the begining of each term. Actors will learn the art of becoming a character through improv, movement, acting, comedy, how a character works with sets, props, other actors. Classes will introduce acting concepts through exercises, games, warm-ups, monologues, & performance opportunities during both terms.
