Summit Academy began in 2007 with a vision to offer enrichment and core classes to the home school community. It consists of a group of parents who home educate their children and qualified instructors who offer a variety of classes such as Art, Spanish, Piano and Guitar as well as Science, Math, Writing, History and Literature. Core and/or elective class options are available at reasonable prices and various locations.
Summit Academy is best described as a facilitated enrichment group, not a traditional co-op. It exists to partner families who school at home and instructors who love teaching, to enjoy and experience lessons in life together. The classes are designed to complement what is taught at home each day and week, not to take the place of parental instruction, assessment/evaluation and/or educational plans.
CLASSES and/or LABS are offered A LA CARTE by instructors WEEKLY on different campuses. Please go to each campus' tab for more information regarding classes offered at that site.
ALL home educating families are welcome regardless of faith, ethnicity, or educational philosophy.
